Rex Hotel

The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a huge marble bathroom. We had read that the hotel was kitschy and that this bad taste invaded even the rooms, but both rooms we had (we stayed at the Rex both at the start and the end of our 2-week visit to Vietnam) the rooms were wonderfully appointed, and the staff extremely helpful and professional. We definitely will stay there next time we visit Saigon.
