Cuisine festival honours central specialties
29 Jun 2012

A cuisine festival opened in the central city of Hue on June 28, featuring specialties of the central region.

Visitors to the festival, held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, also have the chance to enjoy special dishes from Hanoi, Ninh Binh, HCM City, Son La, Thai Nguyen and Haiphong, as well as cooking demonstrations by professional chefs from famous restaurants and hotels.

The event will offer an opportunity for localities to promote their region and introduce their cultural values to foreign and Vietnamese tourists. They will also be able to share experiences to improve the quality of their tourism services.

The festival, part of the National Tourism Year Northern Central Coastal Area – Hue 2012, will run through to July 1.
