Korean Tourism Organization and Vietnamese tourism enterprises have jointly held a conference to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Korean Tourism Organization and Vietnamese tourism enterprises have jointly held a conference to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Nguyen Quy Phuong, Director of the Travel Department under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), said that the Republic of Korea (RoK) is one of Vietnam’s major markets.

This year, Vietnam will boost tourism advertisement in this market and create favorable conditions for Korean visitors to Vietnam.

According to the RoK tourism representative office in Vietnam, 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of the strategic relationship between the two countries and both sides are focused on promoting trade and cultural cooperation.

In 2011, more than100,000 Vietnamese visited the RoK and 136.000 Korean tourists came to Vietnam.
